We are committed to quality pest control service. However, there are several ways that you, as a homeowner, can also limit access to your home from common pests.
As you plan landscaping and other exterior projects, please keep the following in mind:
Mulch and pine straw provide nesting and breeding opportunities for pests. We recommend using stone or other like products for flower beds. This also enables the granules we drop around these areas greater access to the soil.
The week before your scheduled treatment, cut your grass a little shorter around the structure to allow the granules to fall closer to the soil.
Trim bushes and shrubs about 24 inches from the side of the structure and decking to help keep ants and other crawling insects from having a free bridge to your home.
Firewood should be stacked about 24 inches from the side of the structure.
Changing to yellow (or bug) light bulbs on the outside will help reduce the glare that is so attractive to pests.
Gutters and crawl spaces should be clear of all leaves, building material and other debris.
These suggestions will help to ensure that pests will crawl through the products and ingest them as they groom themselves and each other.
Just a reminder!
We guarantee interior protection against rats, mice and non-flying insects for a 6-month period. This does not include termites, fleas, flying insects (moths, bees, etc.) and spiders. So, when trying to kill a spider, sweep down all webs inside and out.
